Springfield, MO – OTC Campus Parking Lot Addition
CJW is excited to add a new project to our repertoire in the Springfield area. Construction crews recently finished an 85,000 square foot asphalt parking lot on the Ozark Technical Community College Springfield Campus.
Jonathan Staats, one of our professional engineers, developed a comprehensive design and coordinated the implementation of all on-site improvements. Having grown up in Springfield, Jonathan spent many years getting to know the Ozarks and had the privilege of attending OTC. As a professional, Jonathan has had the opportunity to improve OTC’s campus with additional enhanced facilities to stimulate growth and greater accessibility for current and future OTC students.
After 3 months of excavation, curbing and paving, construction crews have finished the newest addition to OTC’s parking infrastructure. The finished lot will provide over 100 additional spaces as well as 12 parking stalls for school bus drop off and pick up. The revamped layout of parking features a unique lighting design that maximizes illumination while reducing light poles, a centralized electrical camera control box that will manage site surveillance and a resized detention basin that incorporates Buffalo Grass, Coneflower grass (a native Missouri plant species) and various other tree plantings.
Thanks to all the OTC staff that participated and helped the project get completed on time and under budget.
