2025 Clinton RSA
On May 5, the CJW Transportation team joined Clinton residents, City officials, MoDOT engineers, and FHWA safety experts to conduct a Road Safety Audit (RSA) field review of Missouri Highway 18—known locally as Ohio Street in Clinton. An RSA is a proven safety countermeasure recognized by the FHWA for its effectiveness in reducing fatal and serious injury crashes.
The City of Clinton is committed to reducing fatal and serious injury crashes within the community. This RSA took place in conjunction with the City’s on-going Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan (SS4A), and it represents an important step on their path toward Vision Zero. While the audit involved a comprehensive review of the entire roadway, special attention was given to the safety of non-motorized users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
The CJW team was grateful for the opportunity to be on the ground in a community we’ve been honored to serve for many years. Interacting with residents and community representatives on a critical transportation connection served as a powerful reminder that the decisions we make as transportation professionals and city leaders impact people’s lives every day.
